Born and raised in the heart of old Lucknow, Mr. Yash Rastogi, the founder of Arsh Chikankari didn’t just see the chikankari around him—he lived it. Growing up in Lucknow with centuries-old statues, he found his city draped in the delicate beauty of needle and thread, where every weave tells a story and yet life took him on a new journey. The corporate world called, and for many years he wore a suit and tie for his 9-5 journey.
In 2020, he decided it was time to return to Lucknow and to Chikankari and thus Arsh Chikankari was born. It was not just as a business but it was a tribute to the timeless craft of his childhood. With the opening of the first offline store, it became more than just an embroidery. It was a celebration of heritage, art and passion.
In 2023, with growing demand from across the city, Arsh Chikankari has embraced the digital age by launching a website to share the beauty of Lucknow's Chikankari with the world but make no mistake—it's not about fashion trends only; It’s about preserving a piece of art that has been handed down for generations. Everything in the collection is hand embroidered, featuring age-old embroideries such as bakhiya, phanda and ghaspatti, created by master artisans who pour their craftsmanship into every detail.
Arsh Chikankari is no more than a brand—it is a lifelong dream come true, weaving in heritage, passion and the promise of keeping the rich tradition of Lucknow Chikankari alive, one beautiful garment at a time.
